Online Safety Policy

Safeguarding extends to every digital channel we use. This policy sets rules for moderating content, communicating with young people, protecting accounts, and responding swiftly to concerns raised online.

Safe communication

  • Use official WMMA accounts for all youth engagement; no personal profiles for direct messaging.
  • Two-person oversight for video calls with young people and clear session ground rules.
  • No sharing of personal contact details; safeguarding concerns reported immediately.

Platform standards

Access to learning tools and file storage uses strong authentication and least-privilege permissions. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, with routine patching and monitoring.

Moderation & takedown

User submissions are moderated for safety, dignity, and accuracy. Harmful or discriminatory content is removed; incidents are logged and escalated using the Incident Reporting procedure and, where necessary, to platforms or authorities.
