NHS-UK 2026 Small Grants Highlight Wartime Vessels

From the 2026 awardees, two wartime-connected vessels stand out: HMS Cavalier and Massey Shaw.

Of particular wartime interest:
- HMS Cavalier (1943 CA Class Destroyer, Chatham National Historic Fleet): £500 towards specialist marine protective coatings.
- Massey Shaw (1935 Fireboat, London National Historic Fleet): £700 towards a new valve spindle for the starboard fire pump.
